It’s really important to start with a good base when you are about to apply make up. One of the best (possibly the best) ways of doing this is by making sure we look after our skin. This is just a short insight into what I do in the shower. This isn’t my entire skin care routine. This particular routine I do twice a week.
Step 1. I start with the Garnier Deep Pore Unclogging Gel Wash. I put a pea size amount onto my fingers lather it up a bit and apply. I leave it on while I Shampoo my hair and rinse it off when I rinse my hair.
Step 2. This warming mask is a fairly new step for me. I was given it as part of a Valentines present. It is the weirdest sensation when you apply it. It is so hot!! You need to apply quite a thick layer of this and then leave it on for 5 minutes. This can only be used once or twice a week. I can imagine it can become quite an irritant if used too often. I’d check this is ok for your skin before you apply it to the whole face!
Step 3. St Ives Facial Scrub is my go to exfoliator. After first use I found it removed so much dead skin. I use this every other time shower/bath.
Step 4. Moisturise! Using The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream. This is the perfect time to give my skin a bit of a break. I don’t use this one all the time but after the Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask I make sure I do! It’s a cross between cream and gel. It leaves my skin hydrated and soft.
The reason I don’t do this particular routine every day is because it can become a little bit harsh if used every day. My usual skin care routine includes a cleanser, toner, moisturiser, eye cream and lip balm. Thank you for your time!!
